Purple Pork and Night Butter


They were marinated in wine, olive oil, and a bit of salt. After marinating for a few hours it looked like pepto-bismol or Klingon blood. After roasting the wine curdled into tiny, unappetizing purple globs

One night I was scared half to death by a rat scared half to death by me, scurrying off the counter. In the morning I noticed the butter--impressions of its gnawing little teeth.
